Welcome to our website!

Established on April 1, 1805, the Town of Wells has followed many footprints. Progress has altered its initial appearance but the town's ability to sustain despite struggles remains in step with the first footprints made. Wells continues, a wonderful community that has retained the simple pleasures and family atmosphere of small town life. The town offers this website as a means of communicating important information and events with its residents and other members of the general public.  It is constantly being updated so check back often.

Twiigs Craft Fair - Thu, Aug 9 - Speculator
July 13, 2018

SPECULATOR — This year’s Speculator Craft Fair will be Thursday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the ball field at 2834 State Route 30, across from the village beach here.

Sponsored by the Hamilton County Twigs, this juried craft fair features over 150 booths of quality handmade goods. Fees are $50 for an outside spot and $60 for a spot in the pavilion. For a vendor application call Barbara Oakes at 518-548-5790 or email her at oakes5@frontiernet.net.

The craft fair is a fund-raiser to support medical and health care in the area. Last year $30,000 donated by the Twigs helped eight non-profit organizations meet their needs: four ambulance squads, Speculator Primary Care Center, the Twigs Scholarship Fund, hospice, and Oak Mountain Ski Patrol.
