Wells Senior Nutrition Site

     On August 8, 1994, the Wells Town Board announced the Wells Volunteer Ambulance Corps Building/Senior Mealsite was near completion. 

     When the Mealsite opened, residents Janice Bartholomew and Kelly Brenan were hired to run the program. Janice has since retired; Kelly is Manager of the Site.

 HOME DELIVERY IS AVAILABLE    

       There is help available for Hamilton County Seniors who experience a decline in his/her mobility or health. The Wells Senior Nutrition Center has nutritious meals and will travel to assist its senior neighbors in extending their independence and improving their health.

     The Mealsite caters to all county seniors age 60 and up.  Excluding holidays, meals are available five days a week, Monday through Friday. Cost is a three dollar ($3.00) donation per day.

     Now in its 21st year of operation, the meal site continues to be a positive force in the community offering senior citizens not only good food but great company as well.  Located behind the Wells Community Hall, able individuals can partake of a noonday meal at the site itself.  For more information on joining others at the site or setting up home delivery, just call Mealsite Manager Kelly Brenan at (518)924-4066.

 

     Excluding holidays, the Site is open Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

NOTE: Residents are asked to call the Nutrition Site the day before, if possible, or before 9 a.m. on the day they wish to have a meal delivered or plan to attend so meals can be prepared.
