Officials
· Enforces New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Codes.
· Reviews plans and issues permits for all work that conforms to the Uniform Codes.
· Performs onsite inspections during various stages of construction. It is the responsibility of the property owner to contact the Building Inspector when a site is ready for inspection. Two days notice is required.
· Investigates reports regarding any issues of noncompliance and issues Stop Work Orders and/or Order to Remedy Violations.
· Issues Certificates of Occupancy and/or Certificates of Compliance when all requirements have been fulfilled.
